How to reach the Residence
By plane:
the nearest airport is Napoli Capodichino, which is only 50 Km far from Sorrento (for further information, visit the website “www.gesac.it
It is directly connected to the main Italian and European airports and it is served by several flight companies which often offer special rates, especially off season.
From the airport there are different ways to get to the Residence L’Incanto.
The cheapest and most comfortable is the shuttle service offered by the private company Curreri (look up the website for timetable).
The bus stop is outside the arrival gate and it gets to Sorrento roughly in an hour (depending on the local traffic). The cost is about € 6,00
Transfer to Sorrento can be arranged also with taxis and several private cars with drivers, but the cost is much more expensive, from € 70,00 to € 100,00.
From the airport, there are also public buses to the Circumvesuviana Station in Naples where it is possible to get the trains to Sorrento (leaving from Naples every half an hour) or to Molo Beverello in the centre of Naples to get to Sorrento by hydrofoil.
By train:
The train station in Naples is Piazza Garibaldi served by trains from and to the main Italian cities and also connected to Sorrento by the underground station of Circumvesuviana.
As soon as arrived in Naples, do not exit from Piazza Garibaldi but follow the signs to Circumvesuviana.
The ticket fare is around € 3 and it can be bought at the ticket office or at the automatic machines.
The journey takes about an hour. The Circumvesuviana is often very crowded and not very comfortable, but it remains the cheapest and easiest way to get to Piano di Sorrento.
By car (from all the directions):
take the motorway A3 till the exit Castellammare di Stabia.
From there, follow the main road 145 for 23 Km. You will drive through Seiano, Vico Equense, Meta till you get to Piano di Sorrento. From Piano follow the signs to Positano/Amalfi.
The main road 145 is often stuck with traffic jam, especially during the high season, so we recommend to travel at the early hours in the morning or the afternoon
